Forensic Engineering

What is forensic engineering?

Forensic engineering refers to the investigation of any failures or other performance concerns relating to civil, criminal, and regulatory issues. By using engineering principles, science, logic, and deductive reasoning, we are able to look deeper and diagnose the failure of a machine, component, material, or structure. This research can offer explanations as to why something went wrong or may have stopped working, which may have also resulted in injury, property damage, structural collapse, or machine malfunction. In some cases, the results of forensic engineering may be used in court to settle a case or a claim.
